Vaulted Cannot List Statuses
If your card is marked with the status "Vaulted Cannot List,” this could be due to one of the following reasons:
Mislabeling: The card is incorrectly labeled by the grading company.
Questionable Authenticity: The card's authenticity may be doubtful.
Damaged: If there is damage to the card's protective slab that is impacting the view of the card, or has the potential to damage the card itself, it will not be listed for sale.
Grading Database Issues: The grading company's database may have issues referencing your card's certification number.
Grading Label Issues: If the grading label on the slab is tilted or misplaced.
Ineligible Card For Sale: If the card has a qualifier grade on the label, it may not be listed for sale.
Upon completing the intake process at the Vault, collectors will be notified about any cards marked as "Vaulted Cannot List" within 3 business days.
Damaged Slabs:
Normal wear and tear on card slabs are acceptable, and such cards can be listed for sale on Alt. However, significant damage, like cracks or damage beyond normal wear and tear will make the card ineligible for sale — for example, damage within the viewable area of the card or damage in the slab that has the potential to damage the card disqualifies it from being listed.
Reholder Requests:
Alt provides reholder services for graded cards from PSA, CGC, and SGC. This service is for collectors looking to replace the protective slab of their graded cards due to damage or wear or simply for a fresh case. Here are relevant links for each grading company:
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the status "Vaulted Cannot List" mean?
A: This status means your card cannot be listed for sale on Alt due to issues like mislabeling, questionable authenticity, damage to the slab, or database discrepancies related to the grading.
Can I list a card with minor scratches on the slab?
A: Yes, minor scratches considered as normal wear and tear are acceptable. However, significant damages or cracks will make the card ineligible for listing. Damage within the viewable area of the card especially disqualifies it from being listed.
What should I do if my card is incorrectly labeled?
A: If your card is incorrectly labeled, contact the grading company to rectify the labeling issue. This usually results in the grading company providing a prepaid shipping label for correction.
How can I verify the authenticity of my card?
A: If you have doubts about your card's authenticity, it is advisable to seek verification from the grading services.
What are grading database issues, and how can they affect my card’s listing?
A: Grading database issues occur when your card’s certification number does not properly match or appear in the grading company’s database. This can prevent your card from being listed until the discrepancy is resolved.
