Competitive cash advances are offered based on market trends, card liquidity, grade, and condition. Cards valued at $250 or higher are eligible for cash advances, with multiple cards qualifying for cumulative advances.

How much does it cost to use Alt?

A: Managing and tracking a collection on Alt is free.

How do I upload my collection to my Alt account?

A: Collectors are no longer able to manually upload non-vaulted items to their Alt Collection page. This functionality was removed in December 2025 as part of an update to our web platform.

We understand that some collectors used this feature regularly, and we’re actively gathering feedback as we continue to improve the product. If this change impacts how you manage or track your collection, we’d love to hear from you! Please reach out to us at Support@alt.xyz, and our team will be sure to document your feedback.

How is the Alt Value calculated?

A: Alt Value is calculated using a combination of data and systematic market knowledge. When we have a lot of data (e.g., base prizms), the value will be more similar to the average of recent transactions. However, when data is sparse, we leverage comparable transactions and use them as anchors to price the card, similar to how an expert in the hobby would do so themselves. The valuation model is updated daily.

Why is there a delay in populating Alt Value?

A: There is occasionally a delay in pricing rare, vintage, or new additions to the Alt asset universe. If there is an * in place of an Alt Value, then our model is still valuing your asset. Please note that Alt does not provide Alt Value for SGC or CGC-graded cards valued at less than $500.

Is there a way to edit the name of a card after it's been uploaded?

A: At Alt, we utilize a standard naming convention to ensure consistency and ease of search for all card listings. However, if you notice that the description of your card is incorrect or missing an important detail, we are here to help.

What determines whether a card is included in the Total Value of My Collection?

A: The Total Value in My Collection doesn't count cards without an Alt Value. Once a card is assigned an Alt Value, the Total Value of you Collection will update automatically.

What do the lock/unlock icons mean?

A: The lock/unlock icon indicates whether the card is stored in the Alt Vault or not. Can Alt Value be listed in another currency?

A: At this time, we only support USD. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Can I share My Collection with others?

A: My Collection is a digital storefront that gives you the ability to share individual cards and active listings with other collectors.

How long after a new product is released will be uploaded to the Alt asset universe?

A: Alt will add newly released basketball, football, baseball, soccer, hockey, and Pokémon sets to its asset universe and make them fully searchable around one month after release.
