Alt utilizes the services of Stripe, as our third-party payments processor for transactions across the platform. Rather than proactively funding your Alt account balance, you will be prompted to initiate payment at the time of the transaction. See the table below for all methods of payment that are currently accepted at Alt.

Additional Payment Options For Auction Winnings
We have expanded our standard payment options for auction winners to include more flexibility with payments, outside of the traditional methods. Here is a bit more detail for the additional payment options available to auction winners on Alt:
1. Loan with Alt, Paying in Monthly Installments -
Eligibility: Only available for purchases of $20,000 or higher
Location Requirement: You must be located in a state where Alt can originate loans
Details: This allows you to pay for your purchase in smaller monthly installments. Read more about our Lending program here.
2. Pay with Consignment -
Eligibility: For winners of cards valued over $1,000
Cash Advance Requirement: Only graded cards valued above $250 are eligible for cash advances.
Process: Submit photos to Support of the graded cards you wish to sell via consignment. Our team will evaluate the cards to ensure that the cash advances cover the auction purchase price. Ship the consigned cards to your vault within 7 days of the auction close. Once the advances are applied to your Alt account, your pending auction purchases will automatically complete.

What types of cards are currently supported for payment?
A: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express
Apple Pay is supported on iOS devices including eligible Macbook’s using Safari (see requirements) for card purchases. Google Pay is supported on Android devices and on eligible computers using Google Pay (see requirements) for card purchases.
How can I modify my desired currency for payments?
A: All prices currently reflected on the Alt platform are in USD. That said, when establishing your connected account with Stripe you are able to customize your desired payment/payout currency, if necessary. Upon Stripe account creation, you will simply select the applicable country that will be associated with your account, at which point you will be able to select the desired currency as well.
How can I pay for fees?
A: We currently support many different payment methods for completing purchases, as well as outtake shipments on Alt. When establishing your Stripe account, you will be prompted to input your desired payment method and all required information.
To pay for other account fees, you can navigate to your "Account Activity" section on the Alt platform, search for the line item associated with the fee, and click on the purple "Pay Now" button.
How can I initiate a withdrawal from my Alt account balance?
A: If you would like to initiate a withdrawal from your Alt account balance you will first need to establish your Stripe account. You can do so by following these simple steps:
Click on the Menu within your Alt account (the two horizontal lines in the top right corner of any page)
Select "My Alt", then "Banking and Transfers" from the drop down menu
Click "Set Up Withdrawal"
You will then be prompted to create your Stripe account and enter in all required details for your outside bank account
You can then initiate your transfer to your bank
Note that you will only be able to set up withdrawals and your Stripe account once there are funds within your Alt account balance. This ability will be disabled if there are no funds within your Alt account.
What happens if my payment fails?
A: If your payment fails, the transaction will not be processed. It might be due to insufficient funds, card expiration, or other issues. Please ensure your payment details are up to date and retry the transaction. If the issue persists, contact our support team.
How can I manage my payment and payout methods?
A: To link or modify an outside account for payments, you will need to log in to your Stripe dashboard using this link. Navigate to the 'Payouts' or 'Payment Methods' section and follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure that your bank or card is supported by Stripe.
Why does Alt use Stripe as a payment processor?

Why has Stripe has paused my payouts?
A: If Stripe has paused your payouts, you'll need to access your Stripe dashboard to manage and resolve any issues. Use this link to access your Stripe account. Once logged in, navigate to the 'Payouts' or 'Payment Methods' section and follow the on-screen instructions to update or verify your payment methods. Make sure your bank or card is supported by Stripe. It's important to check any notifications or requirements Stripe may have posted to your dashboard to ensure payouts can be resumed.
Can I pay for a purchase using my PayPal account?
A: At this time, we do not support PayPal as a payment method on the Alt platform.
We currently accept payments through ACH, Credit/Debit card, Wire transfers, and Apple/Google Pay. Payment information will be collected once you select your preferred payment option during the purchase process.
Does Alt support international cards and payment methods?
A: Yes, we support a variety of international cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. For specific payment questions, please contact our support team.
Are there any additional fees for international transactions?
A: While we don't charge additional fees, your bank or card provider might charge currency conversion or international transaction fees. We recommend checking with them for detailed information.
Can I use my Alt account balance to partially pay for a purchase, and pay for the remaining amount through another method?
A: Unfortunately, in the current state of our product you will not be able to utilize funds within your Alt account to partially pay for a purchase. If your account balance is sufficient in covering the entirety of a purchase, our system will automatically default to complete payment with those funds.
