Your tier is calculated quarterly based on the total transacted, paid volume of your cards sold on Alt. Your status determines your seller bonus and fees (listed below), and it updates automatically as your volume increases.

Do I need to apply or sign up?

A: Nope! Alt Rewards is automatic, you’re already enrolled if you’ve sold on Alt.

How is my tier determined?

A: Your quarterly transaction total (including buyer’s premium) determines your status for the current and next quarter. If you increase your volume mid-quarter, your new tier applies immediately.

Is my seller bonus based on lot size or individual asset value?

A: Your rate is based on the aggregate value of your lot at the time of submission combined with your current tier. If you do not have a transaction history with Alt, your tier will start at “Base”.

How can I track what tier I’m in?

A: Your Profile dashboard within your Alt account will track your current tier and what’s needed in order to reach the next level.

Do fixed-price and auction listings count toward the same tiers?

A: Yes! All transaction types count toward your total tier progress.

How does grandfathering work?

A: Sellers will be placed in a tier based on their previous quarter’s transactions and can track progress toward their next status. If the current quarter’s sales surpass the last, the higher tier applies immediately.

How do I get a better rate?

A: Your seller bonus is determined by lot size at the time of submission. To increase your rate, you can submit larger lots or increase total sales to earn a higher reward tier.

I was in the Gold Tier last quarter—do I start back at Base this quarter?

A: No, your Gold status will carry over into the new quarter, however you’ll need to transact again in order to maintain it for the following quarter. While your status carries over, your transaction total resets to zero at the start of each quarter.

I’m a new customer—how do I know what rate I’ll get?

A: New customers receive Base tier rates but can quickly move up by increasing their sales to at least $25k.

Can I change tiers mid-quarter?

A: Yes! Your status updates as you hit new milestones. Sell more, unlock higher benefits.

What happens if I don’t sell in a quarter?

A: If you don’t hit the volume threshold for your current tier, your status adjusts to match your most recent transaction volume.

How do I qualify for Black-level benefits like waived outtake fees?

A: You must achieve Black status within a quarter and maintain it for the next quarter to continue receiving those benefits.

What happens if I move down a tier?

A: If your transaction volume decreases, your status adjusts automatically to match your most recent quarter’s performance at the end of the quarter.
